In the UK, this decision will normally result in taking a Driving Test supervised by a DVSA-appointed examiner; and a Driving Licence being issued after successful completion.

About us

Capital Driving Trainers Ltd was founded as a family-run Driving School in May 2010. We are a UK limited company but have chosen to remain close to our family-originated values in providing good quality Driving Instruction services to our Customers and wider Community.


We are driven by core values that hold family and community close to heart; we know you feel the same about your family and community. This is why we remain motivated to provide a service of a very high standard within an activity where good driving decisions benefit both drivers and other road-users.


We deliver Driving Lessons in a car with the transmission system of your choice - Automatic or Manual.


We deliver Driving Lessons across London and the surrounding counties.

We are happy to meet you at any mutually-agreed location for your lessons - home, work, school, etc.


We welcome drivers of all ages, backgrounds and ability.

Special rates are available to students. International students are especially welcome.


We are mindful of our responsibilities towards our local communities, and are happy to provide taster and training sessions for special groups.

Whether a first-time learner or returner to learning, welcome to the Driving School that saves lives.

Intensive Driving Courses

Go from Learner to Licensed in 1 Week or Less

Is your time limited?

Perhaps you’ve taken the week off work and need an intensive driving course to help you get your licence within this short time.

You might have a holiday booked to start next month but need to complete your Driving Test before leaving.


Whatever the scenario, our instructors are ready and willing to deliver your training within the agreed time-limits.

You can be confident that our instructors have acquired extensive experience of delivering Intensive Driving Courses successfully. 


As part of your course, we can also book your short-notice Driving Test for a specified date.


Intensive courses are available from 2-10 hours in 1 day, up to 60 hours over any number of days.


If you are willing to put in the time, we’ll teach you Safe Driving and ensure that you drive away with your licence.


Residential Intensive Driving Courses are also available in London and surrounding counties.

Driving Test Support

Supporting You to PASS the Test

Our Training Cars are made available to you once your Driving Instructor and you have agreed that you are ready for the Driving Test and a Test Date has been agreed, in accordance with our Standard Terms and Conditions.

The standard costs of this service are £120 for Manual and £130 for Automatic transmission car. This includes one lesson within an hour before the test.

Existing customers, who are currently under instruction, can arrange payment directly with, or through, their instructor.


Our commitments to you are that:

  • your instructors will be open and honest with you about your readiness for the Driving Test;
  • we will endeavour to ensure that we provide a car that meets the requirements of the Driving Test, including road-worthiness and insurance;
  • we will arrive on time, at the designated test-day meeting-point; and
  • after the test, we will drop you off at an agreed location.


Not our Student but you need a Test Car?

We are also happy to assist people who are not our students but, through no fault of theirs, have been left stranded at short notice, and therefore need a car and accompanying instructor for their Driving Test.

Our standard costs apply, and include a 1-hour lesson for the purpose of accustomisation to the supplied car and correcting any observed faults in your driving.

Normal charges will apply for additional periods of instruction.

Exceptional charges may be applied in a situation where we have to supply you an instructor and car at extremely short notice.

Pass Plus Course

Save Money off the cost of Motor Insurance

Pass Plus is a driving course aimed at newly-qualified drivers. It was designed by the DVSA, in conjunction with Motor Insurers and the driving instruction industry.


The cost of motor insurance for new drivers can be quite prohibitive. On successful completion of the Pass Plus course, you will be awarded a certificate that can be used to claim a discount off the cost of your motor insurance.


Our Approved Driving Instructors are DVSA-qualified for the purpose of delivering your Pass Plus course. Working together, we will help you become an even safer driver, whilst also helping you to obtain motor insurance at the cheapest available cost.

FAQ

This depends on the type of transmission and how you choose to pay for your lessons.

Prices per hour are £36 for Manual and £38 for Automatic transmission car.

The stated prices are discounted if paid in blocks of 10 hours.

Prices per 10 hours are £350 for Manual and £370 for Automatic transmission car.

The standard duration of a driving lesson is 1 hour. You may, however book and undertake multiple hours in a session.

It is quite common for driving instructors to take bookings of 2 hours per session. You will, in this instance, pay for 2 lessons.

We teach in the choice of transmission requested by our customers - Manual or Automatic.

We ensure that training is delivered in standard hatchback vehicles, in brands that are popularly found on UK roads. Each instructor has their own vehicle which can change from year to year. Example brands: Ford, Toyota, Peugeot, Kia, etc.

A trainee who has failed their driving test can retake it, subject to the exclusion period imposed by the DVSA.

Our instructors will usually give guidance on when they think a trainee is ready for their driving test. In the event that they do not pass their test, we will discuss the likely reasons and agree next steps which will involve correcting any agreed issues as well as improving the learner's overall experience of driving prior to them retaking the test.
